Why it's shaped this way

Every decision came from a midwife's list, not a mood board.

One-handed, every time

A wide brushed-brass loop lid that opens with a thumb and hangs from a pram handle or hospital bag strap — because the other hand is always holding something.

500ml, marked gently

Soft interior fill lines at 250ml and 500ml so a feeding mum can see her hydration without a chart, a tracker or a single number shouted at her.

Cold for 24, warm for 12

Double-walled 18/8 stainless steel. Iced water through a long labour, or warm water and lemon on the 3am feed.

Nothing you'd rather not drink

Food-grade stainless inside — no plastic lining, no BPA, no paint on any surface that touches water. Powder-coated outside, dishwasher-safe body.

Matte powder coat, brushed-brass lid, the mark debossed — never printed.

The midwife's checklist

What we tested before we made it

Fits the side pocket of every hospital bag we tested, and stands upright on a ward tray table.
Loop lid is wide enough to carry with a finger while holding a baby in the other arm.
Opens without a twist-lock or a click — nothing to wake a sleeping newborn.
Body wipes clean with one cloth; no grooves, no logo ridges, no fabric sleeve to harbour milk.
Neck is wide enough for ice cubes and a bottle brush, narrow enough to drink from lying down.

A note on hydration: staying well hydrated matters in pregnancy and while breastfeeding, and a bottle simply makes it easier to remember.
